We
desire to adhere to the teachings of God's word in everything we do. Since
we are now under the New Testament
(covenant, agreement)
of Jesus Christ , the New Testament is our sole guide for faith and
practice.
(Hebrews
8:6-7, 13,
9:15)
We have no creeds or religious guidelines other than that
provided by the New Testament. As individuals, we identify ourselves as
Christians
(Acts 11:26).
As a congregation, we identify ourselves as the church of Christ
(Romans 16:16).
This is to emphasize our relationship to the One who died
to save us from our sins
(1 Peter 2:24), and who now reigns as Lord, as
head over the church, which is His body
(Colossians 1:18).
As members of His body, we meet on the first day of the week
(Sunday)
to worship God "in spirit and in truth"
(John 4:24),
encourage and build one another up in the faith
(Hebrews
10:24-25), and learn more of God's will for our lives through Bible study
(Matthew 4:4,
Ephesians 5:17),
as the New Testament instructs.
We offer you a heartfelt invitation to visit with us.
You'll be our
honored guest! May God bless you in your efforts to serve
and please Him!
